| Where to Start | This page provided you with the most options of all the searches. Depending on which fields you mark for inclusion, the list you retrieve will vary greatly. You are not required to enter a key phrase in each field, however, if you want to include a particular field on the Data Retrieval page you will need to include the hash mark (#) in the field. The default is to include the NADA and Trade Name, but these can be excluded by removing the "#" in the field. Note: When choosing a Drug Type, choosing "Water Additive or Feed Additive" will not list ALL drugs that fall under either category. This will pull up drugs approved for use in both feed and water, by the FDA. |
| Utilizing the Data Retrieval List Page | From any of the lists retrieved above you can "copy and paste" and use your back arrow to narrow the search to a specific Active Ingredient, for example. All lists will include whether the drug is available OTC or Rx only. The default list will include drugs that are Presently Marketed. If you want to see drugs that are no longer marketed, or withdrawn, please click the box above the "Generate List" button on the first page. Click "Details..." to view WDI, directions, tolerances, and other drug details for the drug you selected. |
| Viewing the Detail Page | The first time you click the DETAILS button to bring up the drug details, a new window will pop up with the all the information on the drug(s) selected.
After viewing this drug information window you may close it or minimize it. PLEASE NOTE! Minimizing the window will allow you to submit the information for a new drug while previously submitted drug information remains in the background of the new drug’s information window. After minimizing the window, you may submit the information for a new drug. To view your most recent drug submission, maximize the drug information window. To view previously submitted drugs, use the window’s back button. You will find this option handy if you would like to quickly view and compare drugs that have been selected previously. |
