  • GLYCOPEPTIDES — all, including VANCOMYCIN
  • MEDICATED FEEDS
  • NITROIMIDAZOLES — all agents, including DIMETRIDAZOLE, IPRONIDAZOLE, METRONIDAZOLE and others
  • NITROFURANS — all agents, including FURAZOLIDINE, NITROFURAZONE and others
Restricted Extra-Label Use
  • ADAMANTANE & NEURAMINIDASE INHIBITORS in all POULTRY, including Ducks
  • CEPHALOSPORIN–CLASS ANTIBIOTICS except CEPHAPIRIN in MAJOR SPECIES
    • ELDU restrictions apply to ALL PRODUCTION CLASSES OF MAJOR FOOD-ANIMAL SPECIES
    •       1) no ELDU for purpose of disease prevention
            2) no ELDU that involves unapproved dose, treatment duration, frequency or administration route
            3) agent must be approved for that species and production class
    • ELDU restrictions DO NOT APPLY to minor–use food animal species
  • GENTIAN VIOLET — prohibited from use in food or feed of food-producing animal species (details)
  • INDEXED DRUGS — some exceptions in Minor-Use Species
  • PHENYLBUTAZONE — in female dairy cattle (>20 mo.)
  • SULFONAMIDE ANTIBIOTICS – in lactating dairy cattle
    • Sulfadimethoxine, Sulfabromomethazine and Sulfaethoxypyridazine
Restrictions for Grade "A" Dairy Operations - Grade A Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (Grade "A" PMO)
  • NON-MEDICAL GRADE DIMETHYLSULFOXIDE (DMSO) – no use or storage
  • DIPYRONE – no use allowable
  • COLLOIDAL SILVER – no use or storage
  • TOPICAL DRUGS with SYSTEMIC ACTIONS
       – Fenthion, Famphur/Xylene, Phosmet, Levamisole, ivermectins
    and avermectins – use of, or storage with lactating cattle medications, is a violation of Item 15r-Drug and Chemical Control
