  • April 24, 2013 - The FDA has announced a temporary suspension of marketing, sales and shipment of Enroflox™ 100 (ANADA 200-495) for use in cattle following a U.S. District Court order.   • March 6, 2013 - The FDA announced five public meetings to discuss the challenges faced by veterinarians and livestock producers as the FDA increases oversight of certain medically important antimicrobials.

  • January 31, 2013 - The National Institute for Animal Agriculture released a white paper that addresses the complex subject of antimicrobial use and resistance and breaks it down into issues that need to be addressed, factors that need to be considered and actions that need to be taken in order to improve human, environmental and animal health.
  • September 27, 2012 - The FDA issued a Memorandum of Information pertaining to the Cephalosporin Order of Prohibition that took effect on 6 April 2012. The memorandum provides further clarification of restrictions and exceptions associated with the previous order.
