April 24, 2013 - The FDA has announced a temporary suspension of marketing, sales and shipment of Enroflox™ 100 (ANADA 200-495) for use in cattle following a U.S. District Court order. The court ordered that FDA must reconsider the recent approval of this generic version of Bayer's animal drug Baytril 100. Click here for more details.

March 6, 2013 - The FDA announced five public meetings to discuss the challenges faced by veterinarians and livestock producers as the FDA increases oversight of certain medically important antimicrobials. View the entire annoucment here.

January 31, 2013 - The National Institute for Animal Agriculture released a white paper that addresses the complex subject of antimicrobial use and resistance and breaks it down into issues that need to be addressed, factors that need to be considered and actions that need to be taken in order to improve human, environmental and animal health.

September 27, 2012 - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a Memorandum of Information pertaining to the Cephalosporin Order of Prohibition that took effect on 6 April 2012. The memorandum provides further clarification of restrictions and exceptions associated with the previous order.
